OUR TEAM AT APOLLO HAS YEARS OF EXPERIENCE BOTH TEACHING AND WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY, AND HAVE ATTENDED SOME OF THE BEST DRAMA SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY WHERE THEY LEARNED FROM THE BEST, MEANING THAT THERE’S NOBODY BETTER IN BRIGHTON & HOVE TO HELP OUR STUDENTS GROW.

  • FOUNDER, PRINCIPAL & LEAD ADVANCED TUTOR - BRIGHTON & HOVE

    Katy began performing at the age of 4 in ‘The King and I’ and following her training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, went on to perform professionally on and off for 22 years. Credits include Joseph & The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Jack & The Beanstalk, Dick Whittington, The Wind In The Willows, Jekyll & Hyde, Snow White & The Seven Dwarves, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Whistle Down The Wind, Seize The Day (Original Cast), A Ring Of Roses (Original Cast), The Sound of Music, A Little Night Music and Urinetown. Since embarking on her teaching career, Katy has become a vastly experienced producer, director and choreographer and in her role at the Apollo Academy tutors dance, singing and drama, LAMDA examinations in acting, verse & prose and musical theatre, audition training and competition training. Katy has had students in numerous professional shows including Matilda (West End), Les Miserables (West End and World Tour), Billy Elliot (West End), Shrek (West End), Oliver! (West End), An Inspector Calls (UK Tour), Goodnight Mister Tom (UK Tour), Annie (West End and UK Tour), Ruthless (West End) and The Sound of Music (UK Tour). Katy has also coached many students for successful auditions for drama schools, both in London and the USA. Katy has a huge passion for teaching and finds it incredibly rewarding to see her students grow, both as people and performers. She feels incredibly lucky to have such an amazing team!

  • FOUNDER

    Originally hailing from Edinburgh, Jack joined names such as Anne Hathaway, Paul Rudd, Danny Devito, Robert Redford, and Kirk Douglas as alumni of the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. Receiving the Lawrence Langner Award for Excellence in Voice and Speech upon graduation, Jack returned to the UK to begin his acting career, and appeared most recently as Jenks in ‘Bloodyminded’ by BAFTA nominated art house Blast Theory - Europe’s first feature film shot live in a single take and streamed into cinemas around the continent. After making the decision to return to drama school and continue his development as an actor, Jack accepted a place on the BA Acting course at RADA in 2021. Jack is hugely passionate about developing the emerging talent at Apollo, with a particular love for helping students broaden their understanding in the world of acting.

  • DANCE TUTOR - BRIGHTON & HOVE

    Tiffany graduated from Performers College in 2016 and has worked as a professional dancer on some fantastic projects since. Alongside performing Tiffany has always taught around Essex and Sussex, and has been a member of the teaching faculty at The Apollo Academy since it’s inception in 2018. Teaching is a huge passion for Tiffany and she loves to spread her knowledge onto the next generation through sharing her passion for dance, musical theatre and performing.

  • SINGING TUTOR - BRIGHTON & HOVE

    A graduate in Musical Theatre at the Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford, Daisy has since gone on to perform on numerous London stages as well as internationally on various cruises. As a teacher, Daisy has over 10 years experience working with children and adults alike, and is a passionate believer in the arts being accessible to all areas of society. In addition to leading our choir here at Apollo, she has recently set up BELONG choir in association with Touchbase, a choir aimed specifically at children who are in care or have been adopted. Never one to stray from a piano or microphone, in her spare time you can find Daisy gigging around Brighton.

  • DRAMA TUTOR - HOVE

    Harry trained in musical theatre at The Brighton Academy of Performing Arts. Theatre credits include Harry MacAfee in Bye Bye Birdie (Ye Old Rose and Crown, London), King Louis in Jungle Book (U.A.E tour), Friar Laurence in Romeo and Juliet (UK and U.A.E), Cut Throat Jake in Treasure Island (Brighton Open Air Theatre), Mr Perks in The Railway Children (UK tour, Talking Scarlett productions), The Wizard in The Wizard of Oz (U.A.E Tour), Julius in Cheeky Chappie (The Warren: The Blockhouse), Mr Toad in Wind In The Willows (The Rydale Festival, York) and Mr Toad in Wind in the Willows (Kew Gardens, London), Batulcar in Around The World in 80 days (Devonshire Park Theatre). Harry has also performed as Marjorie Hardup (ugly sister) for Jordan productions over the past four pantomime seasons across various theatres. Film credits include: Richard, Cricket fan, 83 (feature film, Kabir Khan films) and Max, MUGGED (Short Film, Hot Seat productions).

  • DRAMA TUTOR - BRIGHTON

    Sam is an award winning professional actor, director and filmmaker from Brighton with years of experience working in and around the performing arts. Sam recently trained for three years at the Institute of Contemporary Theatre in 2020 and has since gone on to perform in professional productions such as Two Pairs of Eyes, Much Ado About Nothing and Troilus and Cressida. Sam has appeared in music videos alongside Jess Glynne and Will Young and has recently finished working on a pilot episode of a new TV show which has been picked up by Netflix, amongst many other credits. Sam is also a professional headshot photographer with his own studio in Brighton as well as an award nominated videographer and filmmaker, often shooting actors showreels and his own short films. Sam is really excited to begin working with Apollo having loved seeing some of their brilliant previous productions!

  • MINIS TUTOR - HOVE

    Amy began performing at the age of 12 and attended stage school alongside her academic studies for many years. Amy performed in some of Apollo’s first shows including the Don’t Stop Believing and A Streetcar Named Desire. Amy has over 10 years experience working with children and young people and teaches at a local secondary school. When not teaching, Amy can be found on a trampoline as a dance fitness instructor - encouraging others on their fitness journeys. Inclusion is a passion of Amy’s and she has worked with children and young people of all ages, needs and abilities. Amy believes performance is an excellent way to grow in confidence and is privileged to play a role in unlocking this with her students.

  • PATRON

    Hailing from Brighton, Bradley trained at GSA and has since gone on to have an incredibly successful professional career. Credits include Papa Bear and Shrek in Shrek (West End), Ghost (UK Tour) Enjolras in Les Miserables (West End) and Fiyero in Wicked (World Tour & West End). Currently appearing as Javert in Les Miserables (West End), Bradley regularly attends The Apollo Academy and has led both Shrek and Les Miserables workshops for the Apollo students.

    Charlotte trained at Mountview and has gone on to have an extensive career both on stage and screen. Credits include Flashdance, Loserville, Fiddler On The Roof, She Loves Me, Vivienne in the UK Tour of Legally Blonde, A Hero’s Welcome & Confusions, Doctors (BBC), Deep State (Fox), Informer (BBC & Amazon), No Offence (Channel 4) as well as a host of commercials. Charlotte regularly visits The Academy to give workshops, as well as sitting on our panel during mock auditions for our drama school auditionees, providing valuable insight and guidance to career hopefuls.
