SUNDAYS AT APOLLO ACADEMY HOVE

Our Minis classes (for children aged 3.5 to 6) tap into your child’s playful and uninhibited nature. Each class is geared towards helping younger children make friends, have lots of fun, grow in confidence and build their concentration through various activities centred around acting, singing and dancing. Minis explore the world of performing in 90 minute classes with fully DBS checked teachers who are highly experienced in working with young children, and our limited class sizes ensure that each Mini gets the attention they deserve in order to thrive!

SATURDAYS AT APOLLO ACADEMY BRIGHTON & SUNDAYS AT APOLLO ACADEMY HOVE

Our Main School is for students aged 7 to 16, and is streamed into three groups:

• Dolphins
• Ravens
• Wolves

Students develop their skills across the three main disciplines of performing arts - acting, singing and dance - and are introduced to new facets of each discipline. In acting, students will explore script work, devising, improvisation, radio plays, monologues, duologues, poetry and more! Close harmonies, breathing techniques and solo work, as well as the study of different styles evolves our students singing skills, and similarly in dance, students will explore technique and many different styles from musical theatre to lyrical to commercial. This will all culminate in the opportunity to put these new found skills into practice in the form of live performance!

SUNDAYS AT APOLLO ACADEMY HOVE

The Advanced Academy is for students aged 16+ who have experience in acting, singing, dance and performance, and will be of particular interest to those who wish to pursue a career in performing arts. Our Advanced programme includes:

• Acting Technique
• Screen Acting
• Dance
• Acting Through Song
• Body Conditioning/Fitness
• Ensemble Singing

Furthermore, Advanced Students often have the opportunity to perform at professional events!

We challenge our students in order to prepare them for the rigours of drama school and dance college auditions, full time professional training and a life in the performing arts industry. Throughout the term, guest professionals visit our Advanced students in various capacities. Sometimes they will lead workshops, other times they will assess them in the form of a mock audition and provide them with valuable feedback and advice.

As well as the practical elements of performing arts, we help to develop techniques to maintain students’ mental wellbeing in order to ensure they are fully equipped for their future.

PRIVATE TUITION (MONDAY - FRIDAY)

Apollo Theatre Arts offers private tuition by highly experienced, fully qualified teachers at a convenient location in Hove. We have a 100% Distinction rate across all disciplines in LAMDA exams, and Apollo has been hugely successful in helping students gain places at some of the country’s top performing arts schools.

30 minute, 45 minute or 1 hour lessons are provided in:

GROUP LAMDA - SUNDAY AT 1PM, HOVE LOCATION

Apollo runs a group LAMDA class following on from our Main School as a cost effective and time efficient option for students with very busy schedules during the week.

TAP - HOVE LOCATION

A mixed ability adult tap class, combining technique, routines and performance. This class is open to all, and is a great way to start your Sunday!
